Cities in Egypt :

Cairo
Cairo, the capital of Egypt, straddles Africa and Middle East and is full of history. The Egyptian symbols - the Pyramids and the Sphinx - are probably the first objectives you don't want to miss. Cairo preserves a rich heritage in the medieval Islamic city and the Coptic sites in Old Cairo; a visit to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square may take a full day, as you'll find here an unique collection of ancient Egyptian, Roman and Greek artifacts - like the mummy of Ramses II and the contents of the tomb of Tutankhamen's. There are countless landmarks that should not be missed, both historic - Pyramid of Zoser, Papyrus Museum, Museum of Islamic Art - and religious - Al Azhar mosque, Ibn Tulun mosque, St. George the Martyr church. A felucca ride on the Nile is a nice opportunity to explore the natural surroundings and escape the city noise; an interesting alternative would be an aerial adventure in a balloon. Still, Cairo is not only a historical city, but is also hosts a vibrant life of modern society - the Midan Tahrir area, also known ad "Paris on the Nile" or Ma'adi and Heliopolis suburbs.
Luxor
Luxor is the most important destination of the Southern Egypt, lying on the Nile Valley. Both the town itself and its surroundings offer an impressive collection of historic sites. Two massive temples stand as architectural masterpieces on the same side of the Nile as the modern city - Temple of Karnak and Temple of Luxor. Take some time to explore three large and unique vestiges of the ancient Egyptian Civilization: The Valley of the Kings, with the famous King Tutankhamen's grave among others, the beautifully decorated graves in the Valley of Queens and the Tombs of the Noble. Another legendary name, the one of King Ramses, is preserved through big statues at the Colossi of Memnon and the Luxor Temple.
Sharm El Sheikh
Located in the interesting landscape of the Sinai peninsula, Sharm el-Sheik is one of the best Arabic tourist destinations. This former fishing village quickly developed into a modern place resort satisfying practically every taste. It offers unique diving and windsurfing spots for adventure amateurs, and many sunny beaches like Na'ama, Skark's Bay where you can rest and get a nice tan. You may choose between a large variety of accommodation places, from intimate hotels to large luxury five-star hotel complexes. The natural surroundings of Sinai peninsula is a unique combination of desert, rocky mountains and beaches - you may choose to explore it on a horse or camel, in a memorable desert safari.
